I am one of many trying to find relatives in Ireland. My gt gt gran was Jane Dickson (sometimes spelt Dixon). I have a month's subscription to emeraldancestor but have not managed to find anything about the Dicksons.
I found Jane Dickson on IGI born 23/04/1837 Dromore Parish Down Ireland. Father James Dickson mother Elizabeth Murphy. On her death cert in 1904 in Dumbarton Scotland are father James Dickson - Master tailor and mother Elizabeth Dickson m.s. Murphy.
Jane married James McFarlane in 21/11/1871 in Belfast - they had 5 children born in Ireland but i can only find Elizabeth the first child in the records (below) 1 child born in Scotland (where i found their marriage details thankfully).
Can anyone find any more details on the Dicksons in Dromore Parish. Not knowing the geography of Ireland that well - are the places mentioned near each other?
