I found a Charles Sherlock and daughter Annie in the 1861 census. Annie born Harrow c. 1854. Charles born Capel, Surrey, c. 1828. Occupation: police constable.

Wife named Sarah. Other children: George, Charlotte, Emma. The source citation for this record is Class: RG9; Piece: 782; Folio: 92; Page: 15; GSU roll: 542700.

In the 1881 census, Annie is an attendant at the Essex County Lunatic Asylum. Source citation: Class: RG11; Piece: 1757; Folio: 122; Page: 4; Line:  ; GSU roll: 1341423.

I couldn't find a marriage registration for Annie and Edward.

Hope this helps!
