Could somebody tell me which parish Monquitter belongs to, quite a lot of my Johnston relatives have this on their death certificates. Pat

According to this website—http://www.larfhc.org/scottishadm1855.htm—Monquitter is its own parish, or at least it was c. 1855.

Genuki confirms this: see the parish page for Monquhitter [note spelling], http://www.urie.demon.co.uk/genuki/ABD/Monquhitter/index.html
