Hi NEWF, what does the above actually mean? Are the records lost?

But are they?  :o

I have a recollection of viewing at least part of the missing pieces on film about 20 years ago at what was then called the Greenwich Local History Library at Woodlands - I copied down details of someone in Hare Street part of Woolwich that appears on a piece that Ancestry now says in lost. Unfortunately I now live in France and can't get to the Greenwich Heritage Centre to verify this :-\

Perhaps someone who lives nearer to do a check for everyone

Ancestry is just quoting the National Archives note which says 'Wanting' .... for PIECE 407 W. Arsenal.

But it would be most excellent if it was in that Greenwich Libray  :)
