« on: Monday 15 December 08 12:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

My ancestors in Wicklow came from the townlands of Ballynatona and Ballylow near Blessington and Ballinahown near Boystown.

Names are

Murphy, Higgins from Ballynatona
Clarke, Healy and Twyford from Ballinahown
Fitzsimons from Ballylow (though this is a more distant connection)

Is anyone out there also interested in these townlands and/or names

I have Fitzsimon and Clarke connections from Co. Wicklow

The Fitzsimon family lived in Ballywaltrin / Killarney townlands near to Bray, they also have connections with Kilmacanogue. I have also seen Fitzsimon (or Fitzsimons) listed on Griffiths for the Blessington area.

My Clarke connection is from the Delgany area - as far as I remember  Patrick Clarke was a Grocer there in the 1860s.

Hi ,

I have a number of Healy connections:-

Mary Healy (daughter of Patrick Healy, Ballinascorney, Brittas, Co Dublin and Judith Twyford, Ballinahown) married John Clarke of Ballinahown (she is my great grandmother)

Edward Healy of Ballydonnell, Redcross married Julia Clarke (daughter of the above Mary Healy)

Frank Healy married to Mary Fitzsimons. They had a daugther Mary who married Brendan Gallagher.
Mary Healy of Ballinasculloge married to Jim Fitzsimons.

Are any of these of interest to you? I have more details on them including dates etc.

I have just discovered that my ancestor, Laurence Higgins, was born and married in Ballytona. He immigrated to England (Liverpool) in the 1850s.  Michael Higgins and Mary Walsh were his parents. He has sisters, Anne, Judith and Bridget - and probably other siblings.
I am interested in any and all information about this family.
