1851 Census Susannah Kirby
« on: Tuesday 16 December 08 01:48 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Would someone please check the 1851 census for Susannah Kirby she would be born about 1785 in Yorkshire, as she dies in 1859 aged 74. In 1841 census she was listed as Herby. Her husband Henry born about 1796 Yorkshire, died before her. He may or may not be on the census.

Thank you,
Linda

Hi Linda

Since she was in the Parish of St Sampson, York in 1841,  I'd say this one is her:

1851: Swinegate - St Sampson, York, Yorkshire
HO107 /  Piece: 2353 /  Folio: 460 /  Page: 9
Head: Susan KIRBY, widow, 66, Annuitant,  b Bradford Yorkshire

She is enumerated alone in her household.

Cheers  :)
