Who was Arthur Prust

Hi again

Have just looked at IGI and there is an Arthur Watson PRUST b 8 Aug 1879, Bethnal Green to William and Laura PRUST - yes, I know it isn't Elizabeth and I know bethnal Green is east London not west.  This Arthur Watson PRUST does not appear on FreeBMD (well, I can't see him!!).  Also it is a submitted form which can be incorrect.

The thing is, if he came without his family at such a young age he may not have had the correct information himself to put on BMD certs, and of course, death certs are notoriously unreliable.  Do you think he came to Victoria?

Yes Arthur Watson PRUST is the one we were following,  we thought he was ours,  but NO,  he is still there in 1911,  so thats how our tree got blown out of the water.......

Yes Arthur Watson PRUST is the fellow i thought was mine,  and have all his family back till 1740's   

But turns out he is ot the correct one, as he is still on the 1911 census,  where he should be in OZ married to Elizabeth Christie/y

Yes on FREE BMD it is under Pruet,  is weird,  am wondering if he was adopted,  and Arthur Prust wasnt his birth name?

Freebmd has the following

A William Prust marrying in Kensington in 1874. There is also a Elizabeth Hudson on the same ref:

A birth of a Moses Prust in Kensington in Sep 1878 Qtr (Could this be Arthur ?). No sign of marriage/death for him.

All circumstancial at present as I can't yet see them on the 1881 - so over to any fellow Roots sleuth who can support/disprove my theory.

Thanks for that,  well the marriage of William and Elizabeth Hudson,  could be a maybe - one to keep an eye on,

As for Moses being Arthur - may be a bit of a long shot but who knows,  think i really need to find something ?  on 1881
to clarify this

I assume you have this information from Electoral rolls?  (all with surname Prust - I've only typed forenames)

1909 Arthur (florist) and Elizabeth (home duties), Whitehorse Rd, Balwyn
1919 as 1909 with house name given - "Lilyvale" and Arthur listed as a gardener
1914 as 1909 (back to being a florist)
1924 Arthur (gardener), Elizabeth (home duties), Park Rd North Ringwood
1931 Arthur (gardener), Elizabeth (home duties) and Henry James (labourer) at Warrandyte Rd Ringwood
1936 as above plus Arthur George (ochd (sic) lab), Winifred Mary (home duties), again all at Warrandyte Rd Ringwood but Winifred's entry just says "Ringwood"
