Came across your posting here.  Just thought I would share with you, my great gran, Sarah Byfield Clarke and her 2nd husband, James Crookston who was also a Dock Labourer, lived at 1 Lorne Place LEITH Midlothian in 1926.  Their marriage certificate dated 30th July, 1926, shows they both resided at this address.  Sarah of course changed her name to Sarah Crookston.  Dad remembers her as granny crookston, she died in 1956, whether she was still living there I dont know.

Dear Dragongirl

I would love to hear from you in regards to 1 Lorne Place LEITH.  I must correct a date I previously told you, that my great gran, Sarah Crookston, who lived at this address with her 2nd husband James Crookston, Sarah actually passed away 21/01/1959 however was living at 12 Queen's Place Edinburgh, as stated on death certificate.  Not sure when she may have moved or if this address is a retirement home or what?  Look forward to hearing back from you soon.
