Welcome to Rootschat.

As pointed out on the other board the Medway area PRs are at CityArk website. Some registers have indexes, but a lot do not and it is simply a matter of trawling through the pages one by one. Sometimes the IGI at www.familysearch.org will have one or more of the family you are looking for and from the parish named you can go to CityArk, bearing in mind it is only the Chatham, Rochester area parishes that are there.

Jemima GARRETT is on the IGI as is a sister, both bapt Chatham. There may have been others. Do not forget to check the burial registers either.

The marriage for James and Jemima at St Werburgh, Hoo mentions that James was of the parish of High Halstow. The PRs for HH are on CityArk. Being "of" HH does not necessarily mean he was born there but was living there when he got married. Good place to start looking though.

I have been through a number of the registers myself looking for CONSTABLEs and remember the GARRETT name, so it is from the area.
