Thanks Jill, Anne and Berkslass

I think you have solved both the Kate and Alice mystery - Kate did have a sister and after Kate was with George Evans they all lived in Hemdean Road, Caversham, Reading. I am sure her name was Lillian.

Abit concerned reference George Evans and birth year now - we have his marriage cert and lists his father as William and the 1901 census has him in Reading and married to Alice and born in Toddington so we have right one - just get his birth year exact.

Has Berkslass transposed the birth dates for Ernest and Constance, as I always have had Ernest (my grandad) birthday as 10/08/ 1909.

Thanks for all you help, perhaps Berkslass could confirm.  Why do you think George or William left Toddington - Reading is not exactly down the road.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

Sorry, I did transpose the dates.  Constance was born in 1908 and Ernest in 1909.

To the people involved in this line of communication:

I am interested in Albert V. Brown from Reading, b.c 1889.

I can share some information on this Brown family, descending from John Brown of York Street, Bermondsey, a Customs House Officer.

Hi K Rees

Lillian Haskell (my great grandmother kate's sister) married Albert V Brown in 1917.

I think that some of my family have some connection to the Browns and Wigmores.

Any information would be greatly received.

Best regards

Mark
