Hi Bev,

The 1841 is pretty basic at the best of times and doesn't say where a person is born. Some Workhouses only give the initials of a person and an age so at least you have a name. The only other info it gives is that they were or were  not born in the county.

You're four were not born in the county.

Sorry but thats as good as it gets.

Hope this helps Angela.

Hi Angela
Thanks for that, it does help but still not sure if she's the right Emma Bunyan, as i can't find a Marriage for her in Cambridge
and i know her 1st child was born there in 1845. She Married
William Bellinger according to a Birth cert i have, i can't find William on the name index where i found Emma.
But thank-you so much as every little helps
Bev

Hi Bev,

Is she of the right age? If she had a child in 1845 she would be only about 16?? Not impossible but still a bit young. Was she married when she had the child?? Have you been able to find a marriage of the two.

Not being nosy but only asking the sort of questions I'd ask myself if I was looking for her. It might help you look for her from a different angle.

Have you been able to find her on later census with her hubby to establish a place of birth.

There doesn't seem to be any other Bunyans listed for Cambridgeshire except a Jane Bunyan age 20. I tried different spellings but came up with nothing.

Sorry I couldn't find anything out for you but maybe my suggestions might help a little bit.

I have the 1841 of Cambridgeshire so if you ever want another lookup just ask ok.

All the best luck in finding her (I think you need some)

Angela.

Hi Angela
I have her on the 1861 census in Nottingham as Emma Bellinger
Widow age 32 b Hertfordshire. and the other census all except
1881. My 2xgggrans birth cert gives her as Emma Bellinger formerly Bunyan.
so i assume she must of married.
Thanks a lot
Bev
