Anyone living in Brecon?
« on: Wednesday 31 December 08 14:07 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who lives in Brecon and could tell me whether number 5 Priory Hill is still in existence. If it is could you tell me what type of property it is.

Thanks  Sue

If you have a look at google maps, you can see for yourself - looks very nice - near the Church. Numbering may depend on the date.

Thanks Ruskie, I've had a look at that was just hoping that someone might be able to provide a more detailed description. Number 5 is mentioned up until 1907 at least.

Hi did go down this morning. The houses stop at no 3, then there's a gap, then there is a cottage called priory lodge. Hubby and I think that this cottage/house no 5  was knocked down for new houses to be built in 2005. Before that we can remember that part being a yard for tyres.
It could be that priory lodge is no5 but we think it was knocked down. Any other help needed I will try my best :)

Hi,

Welcome to Rootschat, it's a fantastic site where people are so helpful and it looks as if you are one of them.

Thank you so much for having a look for 5 Priory Hill it's a shame that it no longer exists, it's always the same, the one you want is the one they've knocked down!

Sue
