"Crops" Park, Parish of St Mary, Pembroke
« on: Tuesday 06 January 09 21:11 GMT (UK) »
I have an 1844 birth certificate which is barely readable.
Would some kind person advise where Crops (?) or Crofs (?) Park in the Parish of St Mary, Pembroke, may be found? Does it still exist?
Thank you.

I believe lambkin is right and that it is Cross Park in the Bufferland area of Pembroke Dock. I have family members who were listed on the same road and the handwriting on the 1841 census wasn't great. I'm guessing your family members were shipwrights? Seems as though all the Cross Park men were!

lambkin and helenzk-
Thank you both for that info on Pembroke.
Not even a seaman! Probably just another family fleeing starvation in Ireland.

I only know that it is Cross Park because I live in Pembroke Dock ;)

Check on the area on Google Maps I don't think there is Street View there yet but there is a lovely aerial view. ;D
