Children, particularly babies like this cutie, are really hard to date because their clothing doesn't change much...however, because of those white socks I'd say it very possible that it's around 1926 or so.

But there may be other clues...could we see a scan of the whole thing including the card mount? Particularly if there is a photographer's name on it anywhere...doesn't have to be big...
