Can anyone help me withany additional information about Pte Thomas DEIGAN from the 44th Regiment of Foot (The Essex Regiment) around 1840 to 1855?

From the Internet, I have found reference to him on a Muster Roll in 1842, and again on a list of wounded in 1854 in the Crimea.

I have been unable to find him in the 1851 census (where was the Regiment in 1851?) or any details about his place of birth.

Can anyone help?
