Hi

I would like to post the details but us Rootschatters are not allowed to do an exact transcription as this comes under Copyright laws. If we do a transcription, it has to be in our own words.

Ann Pote is living with Elizabeth Brazier, a licensed victualler in the 1871 census aged 65 and is listed as married.

ooh you inadvertantly found a relative of mine too then lol, Elizabeth Brazier, was Elizabeth Cartwright, so from this thread that makes her Annes sister!... Elizabeth Cartwright is the 2nd wife of my great great great grand father! (but the third woman to have borne him children lol )
And the pub that is mentioned is the yew tree inn in wolverhampton

and as to the London link... I woner if that has a family tie too? as the Braziers.. were a BIG gunlock and gun making firm both in Wolverhampton and London for nearly 300 years! Thomas Braziers (Elizabeths husband) first son was born in London too as were quite a number of the wolverhampton Braziers so perhaps London is a bigger connection too?
