thanks everyone for info will send for cert today. We are still all confused though why the children were listed as grandchildren never found a link there maybe birth cert will tell us more about that.

Hi All
I have now got the birth cert from Wrexham born 2nd July 1846 mother Sarah Williams No father listed on cert born Newton
Now my problem will be trying to go back further to Sarah and find out who her parents may have been what a task that will be with the name Williams.

We did find a christianna with Grandparents also the name of christiana but no mother living there with them.

On the 1851(HO107/2502 Folio 419 P 18),  her grandparents were listed as John Williams, aged 63 , b. Cheshire, Cuddington (?) and Christiana Williams, aged 65, b. Cheshire, Hampton (?) so, it might be worth putting a request on the Cheshire board for children born to them.

I have posted on Cheshire and Shropshire as Cuddington in Shropshire I guess john would have been born about 1788

I have find a marriage on the IGI this was for John Williams and Christian Welch in St Oswald, Malpas on 12/11/1813.  looks a strong possibility to Sarah Christiana's Mum Parents .Malpas would be near to the bride's parish of Hampton Cheshire. What do you think
