Rhoda Wheeler did marry Alfred Reader. Lovely article here on the family. Her parents are also mentioned so no doubt this is Rhoda ;)

Now we are still missing a couple and looking at 1870 image again I think they are all living alonside each other.

Hope you can check for these possible marriages - If I am right Betsy is married to James Bradley

Living next door to Ann and siblings

BRADLEY James 26 b England Farmer
BRADLEY Betsy 24 b England keeping house
BRADLEY Grace A 4 b Ill
BRADLEY Susan A 2 b Ill
BRADLEY Malan A (male) 6 months b Ill

would also have to wonder about the house between Betsy and Joel since they are all in a row and Mary is missing

SMITH John M 26 b England Farmer
SMITH Mary 20 b England keeping House

By 1880 I think Emma has married George SMITH who was in the house with her family in 1870. I wonder if he and John are brothers. also by 1880 Richard jr is married to Susan (still in Brighton) right next door to his mother who has a Smith granddaughter with her - they are living just a few houses from George and Emma Smith. Anna may also have married Fredrick WARR a blacksmith from England and they are also in Brighton

Hope you can do something with it all.

All the best

Kris  :)

I don't know if they are the same family, but there were Wheelers in Walton,
and I think some emigrated to Australia.
Earliest I have in Walton is James and his wife Susanna. He died in 1803, she in 1785.
They had issue;- John, born 1766. Susannah, born 1769, Mary, born 1773, Thomas,
born 1776, William, born 1778, Sarah, born 1780.
Note - These dates could be either birth or bapt dates.

Chainsaw,
Thank you for replying to my message and I will check it out. This a mushroom that just keeps growing.
Tompkins, Potter, Hall, Granger, Graves, Spence?, Turner, Luyster, Ledogar, Santi, Tarnowski, Lewandowski, Carroll, Theroux, Wentz, Mueller.
These are just a few of the names that I am currently searching for. Tompkins, Potter and Hall all are pretty much located in England, Tompkins in BDF,
Potter in SUSSEX and Hall maybe in SURREY OR SUSSEX.

No problem MoiraT, I'm very happy to help.

If it is the same family I will gladly share what I have.

I suspect that we have a friend in common, re Mueller ??

Not sure what you mean Mueller?, I have a Ggrandmother who's maiden name was Mueller, though.  ??? ??? Thanks again, Chain

Hi Kris,
Hope your weekend with your brother was grand. I just have a few questions, maybe you can help me as I am a bit confused. My Richard Wheeler was b. in 1810 and I don't think that George and Johannna could be his parents as they didn't marry until 1814. May be related some other way, as some of the names are in my line as well.  Maybe a brother to Richard?  There isn't even a Richard listed in George and Johnanna's children.
Thank you again for all your help and I have found almost all of the marriages we were talking about with the Edington/ Wheelers.
will right more later, take care,
MoiraT

Although I cannot check for baptisms given the name you know him as - this looks likely to be Richards parents marriage ;D
