Is it just me or is Ancestry down for maintenance,thats the message I got last night and again today when I came home from work.

I have had problems with Ancestry since Saturday night.  Extremely slow and then last night and tonight just the "Check Back Soon" logo

I was using my "Emergency" link last night but even that's not working tonight

As Carole says, it seems very inconsistent at the moment - especially tonight. I'm wondering if there are a lot of people checking and  following up information from the 1911 census.

That's what I've been doing tonight and that's when I've had the go slow and, on a few occasions, the 'server not found' page - not even a checkback later.  It seems to have got better since about 11.30pm

Hello

When the maintenace notice comes up I just click refresh page and I am in straight away. ;D Sometimes when you look at a census, it says server not found I just click go back and on to the census again no trouble.

I've been doing that for yonks, Pam, but it didn't work like that tonight. The server not found notice came up before I got in and this happened a few times. Refreshing didn't work.
