Ancestry down ???

Doesn't work for me unfortunately.

What puzzles me is that the Check Back sign says that Ancestry.com is down - I am trying to access co.uk

I finally got in using my emergency link and it's working ok.  However - if I click on Home - it bombs me out

I have been getting into Ancestry UK from my favourites alright.
Time here is 10.44am which should not make any difference.

It could be people as you say looking at the 1911 census and tracing family back  1901.

About 30 mins ago ancestry on the oz site  was saying Check Back but it seems to be ok now.

I usually access Ancestry  http://www.ancestry.co.uk/ however - at the moment I am still getting the Check Back Soon logo

However - if I access via the link below (shown in full) I can get in.  You will see that the link is to Ancestry.co.uk

I thought that the 1911 census was only available on FindMyPast so the current Ancestry problems cannot be linked to additional access to it

I was referring to BMDs and 1901 and previous census  check ups resulting from finds on the 1911 - I've done masses 

I've just been experimenting - I get check back soon on my laptop (direct to the search)  but get straight in on my desktop (direct to the home page) . Same browser and same operating sytem.

Changed the link to home page on laptop and it gets straight in!

On that occasion, the reply on page 6 from Mezentia worked for me so I have tried it again (and again and again) but not this time

I feel an email to Ancestry coming on!!

Yes - when we had to go back and refresh and only click on the top <next> icon. Then they changed the Home page and we had all that fuss about getting the census links 

You do the e-mail and sign it from us all

Added - still working if I go in on the home page* but still 'come back soon' if I go in on search - daft it is
