Hawarden Archives

I know Hawarden Archives are in Flintshire, but I hope someone can answer me a question?
Would Hawarden have access to the same old newspapers that would be accessible in Ruthin archives? My mam tried to view newspapers last year at Ruthin, but because of the problem they had with the mould infestation they were temporarily unavailable. She's prepared to go to Hawarden as long as she will get to see the newspapers of interest, mostly Denbighshire Free Press and other local Welsh papers.  I may find that Ruthin archives are back to normal now?

Hi Nerys, I think most of the newspapers at Hawarden are Flintshire editions.
Best give them a ring all the staff there are very helpful.

Thanks for that. I think you just saved my mam a long bus journey
I have e-mailed Ruthin archives to see if the newspapers are ready to view. Her ancestors are all from the Ruthin area so Flintshire ones no good.
