Oh, I am so very very sorry.  No offence meant.  Right, Ok, I'll  tell you everything that I have.
That sounds like my distant branch.

Do you have anything more than I have, please?
Frank West married Kitty Cooper. Frank - 1864 & Kitty - 1872
Kitty's parents William Cooper & Elizabeth Daniel.
William - 1851 - Elizabeth - 1847.
Children of William & Elizabeth are:
Matilda
Ruth
Agnes

Elizabeth Daniel's father is John Daniel born 1820
Elizabeth Daniel's brother is Walter Daniel born 1856

No female lines further back than that.

Thanks in advance for everything.

Don't worry. We all have to start somewhere!

Yes, I have a fair bit more about these families, although I have nothing on the Wests.

I'm late for an appointment and my beer will be getting warm, so I'll work on it in the morning!

Just been tarting up my tree before I send it to you and have found that Elizabeth Daniel's mother, Catherine Johnson, was the sister of my gg grandmother, Sarah Johnson, who married John Cooper in 1846. So I'm ever so slightly closer to Kitty now - she was my second cousin, but only twice removed!

The report that I'm preparing for you is getting bigger by the hour, as it now includes a lot of Sabeys - Catherine's mother's maiden name.

I'm struggling to post a follow up to this message as I'm getting the usual afternoon message when attempting to post  "The operation timed out when attempting to contact www.rootschat.com.". It makes a change from "We're very busy, try again in an hour and send us a postcard in the meantime"

Just for the record, William Cooper born Dec 1850 (per 1851 census) was the youngest child of Henry Cooper and Sarah (Thompson) who married on 28 Apr 1832 at Southill Beds.

Henry was the son of Henry Cooper and Sarah (--?--) who married c1801. Unfortunately Henlow marriages and banns are lost for the period 1799-1801.  Henry senior was buried at Henlow age 69 on 19 July 1841, but there's no Henry Cooper baptised in Beds c1772 that fits - there is a christening at Biggleswade in 1773, Henry son of John and Sarah, victualler, which appears to fit perfectly. Unfortunately there's also a burial of Henry, son of John and Sarah, labourer on 13 Apr 1781 at Biggleswade.

So I've no idea where Henry senior was from

Oh, I am chuffed to bits. ( very happy)

Thank you so very much. I find Geneology just so fascinating.

Wow, what a lot of info you have! I'm not disappointed about the "no-connection" to the Mayflower voyage, but the prospect was very interesting and exciting.  I do recall feeling a little saddened by the Tilleys fate, but was so thrilled about Henry Sampson.

Re: Mary Ann Cooper, born Arlesey, circa 1836.
I am descended from Mary's son, George Dear of Arlesey, born 1863. I have had great success following a number of family lines back over one thousand years via various paternal and maternal lines. I am now about to look at Mary Ann's Cooper family. I don't yet know her parent's names but I believe her grandparents were William and Sarah Cooper. I know the Arlesey and Henlow Coopers are related and wondered if anyone can start me off with information regarding Mary Ann's family. Many, many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Welcome to Rootschat.

MARY ANN Cooper
Baptised 17 Nov 1836 Arlesey, Bedfordshire to GEORGE/ELIZABETH

As you say 1851 Mary Ann is with her Grandparents.

If Mary Ann Dear remarried 1874 she names her Father as GEORGE Cooper.

Trish :)

Possible Marriage;
24 July 1836 Arlesey George COOPER to Elizabeth KING
