When I was chasing up some relations in the Wimbledon, London SW19 area, a lady at this church was extremely helpful; so I would suggest that you try there.

Hector Morgan resided in Bristol and was at one time after the war a publican. Also had  10 siblings one being named Wyndham. Do not believe Hector was ever in the Wimbledon area. Eirwen

Not common, but not impossible!

Some soldiery do find God in war...As the old saying goes, there are no atheists in a foxhole!

Perhaps you could contact the author via the publishers and find out??  ;D
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.
