just marking so I don't lose Paul's absolutely brilliant piece of census ref deduction  8) 8) 8)
I bow to you!

thanks Paul...  :D :D :D
I was tearing my hair out last night when I realised I couldn't do a simple household search with the surname field "." on a common name

Now all I have to do is find which family I was losing my rag over last night... common name and the rellies all seem to want to live next door to each other and give their kids the same names ::)  I can't believe they were still doing that in 1911!

Paul - assuming that you see two people surname of Guy, and 2 of Turner (you wont see the person you specified as 'also in Household', as thats implicit    .... you can achieve the same with these search parameters:-

No 'main' names specified ...
Residence = POOLE
Census Reference = .
Other person last names TURNER
Other person last names Algorithm Exact
Other person first names RUTH
Other person first names Algorithm Exact

I guess this isnt infallible when an area is big enough to have multiple Ruth's of course !

sadly, the address is no longer displayed  :(

In reply to Rosie 99, On the search page I found a name I was interested in,  residing in an Institution,
Having only 30 credits left I thought I'd take a chance and read the transcription for 10 credits.
I was furious to see I had an exact copy of the search  ... nothing was different .      I was so annoyed I emailed the site and complained saying it was daylight robbery!
I  have received an email to say they have refunded my 10 credits... Who said complaining don't get  you anywhere!
We should alll write to these offending sites who take our money then expect us to sit and look at adverts all night.etc'     Not what we pay for eh?   Cheers Dolly.

Thank you Dolly,

I have contacted them and I also have had a refund and the name of the boat. ;D
