It might be worth checking for any directories/listings  of the area to try to find who was living at 21 St Mary's Road around that time  :)

That will be my next task. :)

Now if I can just find where she said she was going to when she got back to Canada....

(She was in Toronto in 1911 but that was before her second marriage)

Peter,

If Ethel was married to a George Headly Stamp I found a marriage record for George and Ethel Maud Gallon on July 13, 1905 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I see her name showing up as Gellen in one of the birth records. May be transcript errors? Also found an obituary clipping for an Ethel Maud Stamp in 1977 Winnipeg, Manitoba.

pm me your emaild address and I'll forward you the information I have and you can decide if this is the correct lady?

Her second marriage was to Ernest LeRoy Stamp.
It took place in Woodstock, Oxford County in March, 1920.
I have a copy of that certificate, courtesy of a previous cry for help to Rootschat.
Mind you, the certificate is a right muck up, as she is calling herself a spinster and gives her previous father in law as her father.  ???

In view of my previous reply, I don't think that this is the family I'm after.
She can be found  on the 1911 census with her previous husband, James McKeand, at 31 Niagara Street, Toronto South.

This is what I know about Ethel Maud:
She is still in Leicester, England at the time of the 1901 census.

On the 30th July, 1910 she marries James McKeand in Paris, Brant County.
His father David McKeand and mother Julia (Gingras)
Her father Charles Pullen and mother Caroline (Fisher)

2nd March, 1920 she marries Ernest LeRoy Stamp in Woodstock
His father John Stamp and mother Eliza Jane (Platts)
Her father Charles Henry McKeand and mother Caroline Amelia (Pullen).

What a pickle!
