Thank you for all the great information. This must be the right family as Thomas's son John married a Jane Hughan. Wonder why he was living with another family perhaps his parents were dead. The micro fiche may reveal more.

Sorry I have taken so long to confirm that the name is definitely Isabella Donnan. Microfilm not a lot of help but have found some one else researching the same family & they also have Donnan.
