I'm trying to trace Milly Sophia Parker b.1808 in Uttoxeter (nee Blurton) and George Parker who married in Uttoxeter in 1826.
Thank you, Kathryn

Hi there

On IGI there is a csd of a George Parker, Uttoxeter 6 Sep 1807, parents William Parker and Elizabeth. Milly is shown on IGI as Miller Sophia Blurton, csd Uttoxeter 17 Jul 1808, parents Joseph Blurton & Sarah.

Thanks Shirl - I had no info on George's dob, but Milly (or Miller) is the one I'm looking for.  Can't find any census records but perhaps they died young.
Pardon my ignorance but what is csd?

Hi Kathryn

Sorry, a csd = christened, will have a good look at cenus records too and see if anything turns up

All the best

Shirl

PS I think this is Milly's parents in 1841, Balance Hill Uttoxeter, all born in county , presumably John & Ann are their grandchildren (Milly and George's children - so maybe your theory that George & Milly died young could be right, I can't find them in 1841)

Joseph age 60, bricklayer
Sarah age 65
John Parker age 8
Ann Parker age 6

HO107 piece 1007 folio 15/5 page 2

One possible death record for Joseph is Uttoxeter District q/e Mar  1842 vol 17 page 18.
