Hi all,I have found lots of new information on the
pilot site, but when I looked for a birth for Esther Smyth/Smith
who I knew from her marriage cert(liverpool) and the 1911
irish census was born in dublin about 1874 or 1875 there was
only one  who seemed to fit,(born 1874) the details for this birth
 state -Esther Cathcart- Smith born south dublin.I thought if this is
the right Esther it would make her family easier to track and these
names  together bring up lots of results.trouble is if the indexes are
not complete yet I could end up chasing the wrong family as the cathcart
surname has not appeared on the 3 documents I have so far. maybe its
 best to  put this one on hold for now.

Regarding the images, I have found indexed birth details for my grandmother and others in the early 1900s Belfast.  One can then order the corresponding certs.

The BMD service is great, if not rather inconsistent n respect of 'search' criteria & results. 
One feature that would be a significant aid to the user would be the facility to download data 'bursts' i.e the data that supports a given search request definition. This would make the searching of marriages where one parties name is unknown as the data would allow the user to run a simple search / comparison query to match on the Vol, Page & index details, thereby ensuring a perfect (almost...) match and in seconds rather than trawling for hours through potential matches.

I have contacted the site to see if such a service is planned or possible - i may not be too optimistic but it would be a significant facility as i believe i could match a number of currently elusive marriages within minutes.... heres wishing
