Roberts in Beddgelert

Searching for information on William and Ellinor Roberts both of whom were born in Beddgelert around 1801. He died sometime after 1881 and before 1891 and Ellinor died between 1871 and 1881.  Both are presumed to have died in Beddgelert.  They had at least three sons Robert, Mathew (m. Ann Mason) and William.

Specifically, I am looking for the Ellinor's maiden name (it may be Jones), the marriage date for the couple as well as the birth and death dates for William and Ellinor.

William Roberts, as 1881
Ellen Roberts,  ditto
Ellen Roberts, daughter, 19 (1842) b. Beddgelert,  assistant in shop

Found the following for 1841 Census:

HO107, 1391, 18, 9

Aberglaslyn 2, Beddgelert

William, 1801, Miner/Copper mins
Elleanor, 1801
Robert, 1826,     ditto
Matthew, 1829,  ditto(?)
William, 1836
David, 1921,       ditto

(All born Caernarvonshire - but no specific town/village given)

Now, I am of course, not quite sure if I have the right family throughout the censuses, that is something that you will have to double check, but I hope I have helped a little.

As the marriage of William and Elleanor/Ellen is before  1837, you would have to look in Parish Registers or try www.familysearch.org, where they have loads of information.

Hello Ismyers

On IGI, there is a marriage for William Roberts to Elinor Jones in Beddgelert on
the 27 Sept 1822. There is also a marriage to Elinor Davies in 1824.

For the boys, Robert Roberts was christened on the 18 Sept 1825.
Matthew was born 7 June 1829, christened 13 June 1829.
William was born 13 Dec 1835, christened 16 Dec 1835.

The parents for the boys were listed as William Roberts and Elinor Jones.
