Hi Lynn - I cannot find how to reply onto your question page.
But answer is that Eleanor Hedley died 23.2.1821 aged 75 at Gunnerton, Chollerford parish.
There is only one entry for Eleanor.
Pleased to help
Cheers.

Hi Jennifer

Yes, I know, that has been the problem. There were actually two entries in the NBI, both identical except for year. One in 1820 and the other in 1821 otherwise all other details the same.

Have just been checking the BT's again and found it!  :D :D

Chollerton St Giles p. 138/297 Burial 1821
Eleanor Hedley, Gunnerton, 23 February, 75 years

There was also a capital W with superscript squiggle under Eleanor's name, which might be an abbreviation for Widow?

Anyway, have now found it and frek's record is correct, the mystery has been solved!  :D

Thank you all for your help and interest.

Kind regards and God bless you,
Lynne x

Yes, I think it shows Wd i.e. widow (Chollerton p. 139  on this site http://www.rootschat.com/links/04vl/  if anyone else wants to have a look)
