deffo something odd about how Ancestry isnt treating it as a Parish ....

this might be a clue - the 1861 is the only one without an active lonk - but no explanation ..

Its not just ancestry. Findmypast also has no Oxenton

I also have the 1861 Gloucestershire census on a CD set and again no Oxenton!

Hi Alex

It might be worth contacting the National Archives to see whether there is a logical explanation.

Certainly it is near the Worcestershire border but not that near!  Anyway, it doesn't seem to come under Worcs either!  Neither does neighbouring Woolstone.

Can you give us a bit more detail about the family, so that we can see if they are elsewhere?

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Here they are in 1871 - it's a remarriage.

The census says that part of Oxenton has been removed for Worcestershire ...

Have you found Mary, or should I keep looking?

NA doesnt have any comment (you'd expect 'wanting' or similar if twas missing)

But the Piece number seems to be predominantly Worcs area  ....  ???
