Yes, I think it also explains the furniture dealer reference. I'll just ignore the John error.

Now that the George Bell in my tree is explained, I only have the name Julia as a mystery.

Where do you think they'd all be buried, Monica? I'm betting it's the cemetery that is no longer there.  :'(

On the Julia name, have you seen the birth ref to a daughter of Joseph and Jane:

HELEN JULIANN GOLD ROBB  Birth: 03 MAY 1856 in Dundee

Burial places are on the certs, but as it's 1:47am, my eyes have given up on focusing.

I haven't been able to get a fix on the death of Elizabeth Robb, David's wife.  That is: folks of Joseph. On David's death cert it says he's married. Yet the only possible wife died in 1855, aged 75. He died in 1859 aged 71.

I have the cert for Helen.

Elizabeth's maiden name looks to be Greig. I think I have have got it from IGI, a few years back.

Not seeing any deaths post 1855 for an Elizabeth Greig Robb. Does David's DC in 1859 (was this in Montrose?) actually name wife Elizabeth or simply say 'married'?
