Thank you, David is John's son, I have them on the census, I am wondering if their places of birth are right but have no idea where else to suggest to look

Hi Jan,

couldn't find a John and Mary on the 1841 so tried the 1851 and the closest was this

John Toll Burt  Head 51  Perpetual Curate  b. Seething and Mundham/Norwich  (Right general area)

Ann S  Burt  Wife  46    Clergymans wife  b. Woodford Essex
Had 3 servants
Living on the green, Lodden, Norfolk

And if you are lucky I found this Burt

Edmund Bacon Burt  71 widow Farm of 456 acres employing  14 Labourers .
Living alone. Well no family members but complete staff from Butler to housemaid.

Living Ravingham Hall, Lodden  (Edmund was born Ravingham)  Will check around the little parishes again in the 1841 and see who else I can find. Maybe John and Ann are around there somewhere.

It would be cool if you could link to the hall though wouldn't it.

Talk to you soon Angela.

Just found Edmund on 1841 he was a Sir no less

Still on his own in the big hall with loads of servants.
Going back to check out some other places.
Angela.

How about this family I found on the 1841

John Burt 55  Tailor  Y
Mariah  "  55             Y
David    "  25 Ag Lab   Y
Charlotte Moore  10     Y
Charles Burt  19   Tailor  Y

Living Rose Cottage, St Peters Forncett, Norfolk.

As you know the 1841 gives you nothing more than what I have here. So don't know what relation Charlotte or Charles are and this is the same order as they were on census. But it looks like your David and parents whatever about the other two.

All the best Angela.

Don't know who Charlotte Moore is....but it's a small world I have another Charlotte Moore who married Samuel Meeke but she was born 1791 Haddiscoe, and you found them on the census for me !
