hi
looking for any information with regards to my grgrandmother
margaret ann o'reilly married michael b o'shea of caherciveen
on 8 apr 1883 in st finian's chapel spunkane caherciveen
i have been focusing my attention on their children and now
having found information on them i feel it is now time to focus on the parents.
this is all the information i have on her at present i'm afraid apart from
a photo that was sent to me from america by the 2xgrgrandson of michael's sister catherine o'shea
michael and his father before him were merchant tailors and drapers of high
street caherciveen
i would be grateful for any information with regards to margaret and her family
in scariff

The marriage certificate should list names and occupations of both fathers (if you have the certificate you will know this and if not see link below to order the certificate). Once you have those details the next step would be to search for church records (the marriage certificate will also list residences of bride and groom at time of marriage to give you a townland to start with in your search).

many thanks for your help
i have been unable to find contact details for st finian's chapel
however, i will apply for the marriage cert as you have suggested
i have been quite successful on my o'shea family
they had six children this information was sent to me from
the daniel o'connell memorial church in caherciveen
with their full names and dobs i have managed to trace the lives of four of them
i was just hoping someone was researching the name o'reilly in scariff

 I am researching O'Reilly in County Clare. They were from Ballyglass Parteen County Clare. Some of my family were registered in Scarriff although they didnt live there. It was a registration district for South East Clare. I have Margarets in my line also.

i believe margaret's father to be james o'reilly b 1832
apart from the marriage in 1883 i know nothing else about her
