Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help with any information on members of my family who emigrated from the UK to New Zealand in 1922 ?
They were Herbert Weedall and his wife Margaret nee Stewart, both born 1882 in Preston, Lancashire. They had 2 daughters who's names I do not know but born in NZ, 1 stayed in NZ but the other went to Australia.
Margaret died 17 August 1960 in Auckland.

findmypast passenger list has also
MARJORIE bn 1916 coming to NZ that year, ??with this family

WEEDALL Margaret - Waihi/Manurewa - Married Woman 1960

Certainly an uncommon name in NZ records
another Herbert died 1989 age 85

This is near Waihi, ??she could be a relation or connected to this other Herbert???
A Newspaper ref if anyone can look it up or ask Tauranga Library

Letting you know, so you don't think you are being totally ignored with 10 days having gone by after your efforts to make contact, zilkens/Ken has not logged into the site since 25.8.2009. There is no way of knowing his circumstances and if he has received any notifications on his posting, my information is only off his profile. I have no connection at all to the family but interested to see my home town mentioned in first reply.

As you will have discovered yourself with searching the net, another family member may well make contact in time.
