Hello,

I'm trying to trace Bridget or Mary Bridget Carr who too was born in Navan but in 1894. She later moved to Walsall, England and married Arthur Taylor Ault. Would you know if this is a relative of the Carr family in Navan that you are trying to trace please? Thanks.

Hello,

The Bridget/Bridie I am looking for was born in 1894 and died in 1941 aged 47 from breast cancer. She had worked as a solicitors clerk in Dublin which is how she met my Great Grandfather, Arthur Taylor Ault. He was in the Auxilliary Division of the Royal Irish Constabulary and during gunfire one day he jumped and lay on Bridget to protect her and the relationship began. They lived in Walsall, England from about 1922 and had twins, Michael & Arthur, Edwin, Mary, Reginald, Kevin and Martin. I have no idea about Bridget's family, the Carr family in I reland. All I know is that there was a cousin called Nula?/Noula? Proctor. Can anyone help please?

Hi,
Sorry I can't help with the Navan connections mentioned, but can I ask if anyone has information or is interested in other Carr families in Meath? My children's gt-gt-gt-grandfather, Stephen Carr was born in Meath (possibly Kells) in about 1806, and by 1841 had moved to Birmingham, England where he worked as a tailor and raised a very large family. Later generations were based around Birmingham and Birkenhead - where there may also have been family members from Meath.
