« on: Wednesday 21 April 04 09:15 BST (UK) »
One of my husbands ancestors with the surname of Orchard was born in a town in Wiltshire called Broken Borough, no one seems to have heard of it, does any know where it is, or of it is still around.

Thankyou

Don't know where Broken Borough is but I do have a stray Orchard. She was a lodger at the home of my g-grandmother on the 1881 census. her name was Charlotee Orchard aged 62, a widow born at Henley Castle, Worcester. She was an annuitant i.e. she received an annual amount to live on probably from a former employer or her husband's former employer.
She was living in Lewisham at the time of the census.
