Thanks but I don't think there is a connection, the spelling of Tyers, if misspelled, is usually Tyer or Tyres

Just a thought. Just looking through the one name interests and noticed your post. I have a Mary Tyre married to  Thomas Wilson in, I think around 1860. They have one son that I know of and his name is Robert Wilson. Any relevance to you. I have had real trouble finding a Mary Tyre on SP as the Wilson family all seem to come from Scotland around Glasgow.
Regards
Anne.

England: Todd, Butterworth, Bearpark, Angell, Spreadborough,
to name but a few.

I have a Tyers too - but having problems finding out much about his start in life.

Charles Edgar Tyers born 1886 (but lied about his age to go into Whittington Barracks Lichfield). He was on the 1901 census there.

1921, married my great grandmother Eleanor Margaret Francesca Maden (nee Kisbee). Took on Eleanor's 2 children Ethel and Harold, and had 2 with her, Mabel and Charles.

Charles died aged 71, in 1957.

His marriage certificate tells us his father was Thomas - but who was his mother - and where was he born? Can't trace a birth anywhere.....and family stories suggest a possible connection with India.

Does anyone have anything?
Kisbee - Dover
Tyers - trying to find out!
Mason
Hagon & Rumbold - did they get married?
