I contacted Wicklow family history Centre some time ago about the possibility of finding who was living at 31, St. Kevin's Square after Hugh Kane's death in 1935, and also therefore any children he and Margaret may have had.
They have replied with no results for my queries and referred me to the 'Electorial registers'[sic]at the National Library!
They tell me that the address is not listed in Thom's directory for Bray in 1911, 1922, 1932, 1941 and 1951.

Over a year on and I am no further
I am determined to discover Margaret's name before her marriage
Any ideas?

Have had a look at Ancestry's Irish marriage records, where you can click to find others on same page.
From about a dozen marriages for Hugh Kane I have isolated one -Margaret Nelson, 1913 Belfast.
All the others have been eliminated for one reason or another.
If I write for the cert. giving Hugh's father's name, and it is not the correct one, presumably I do not get my moneye back?

Sorry, but the Ancestry index doesn't work that way. On the 1913 marriage page for Hugh Kane there are several couples listed on the page. That particular Hugh Kane actually married Leonora McLean not Margaret Nelson.
