I saw this on the BBC news website, fortunately sounds like no documents were damaged.

I doubt if I'm lucky enough to find my ancestors there, mine seem to be good old working stock.

Well I hope nothing has been lost. Years ago when we started out we contacted them as the family has a coat of arms - it turned out they had no right to thembut they were extremely helpful and actually did some research for us which put us on the right track.
