I am glad you two have sorted it out for me
 Failsafe will take your advice and write to people with service records if i sent a copy of my original b/c and his d/c might be lucky
Small world Scrimnet about your dad It seems mine drove two called Hazel1 and Hazel2  after my mum  shame the marriage didn't last war changed people so much regards janet

War does change everyone....

The best  and closest "cinematic" portrayal I have seem is Ioan Gruffudd in "Warriors"  about Bosnia, some years ago on the BBC...
