I had the free trial.  It was very useful!  A site with lots of good things.  It actually gave me two months instead of one, which was very kind of it!

They seem to be adding new things all the time too, which is great!

The main person running the Ryerson Index now lives here, and he tells me that World Vital Records was formed by people who used to work for A.......y and became disillusioned when it changed hands and became more commercial and expensive.  There seem to be no traps or difficulties, and all in all, I think it would be worth subscribing to!

  I wasn't really impressed with my trial on it. I do not have very fast speed internet and it seemed to take forever to download anything and when it did download it wasnt exactly what I expected anyway.  Sorry Marie    Think I'll stick to ancestry.  regards

I had the same problems as Mariac....problems getting anything to download, due to slow broadband speed where I live. I don't have that problem with other sites that I use.

Well, I have broadband - not super fast, moderate speed I suppose - and I didn't have any trouble at all with downloads.  Perhaps the moral is that if you're on dialup or slow broadband, don't bother.  Otherwise, no problems.

Hi,
I too took on the Free Trial.
In Summary....

Agonizingly slow download, including just the smallest item.

Very slow response even as in "Back to Home Page"
 
Hard to read/comprehend index entries in PO or Gazette files...strange and unusual punctuation in entries.... means you have to download the page to check them.

Large bits of QLD taken off the site "temporarily" for reasons of getting 'updated'

Not rushing to join up this month

I think the site is very much under construction and this is showing.
It will probably prosper as time goes by and perhaps we must be a little patient for now.

Just tried to long in again and maybe being a bit thick but can only see a 7 day free trail but cann't see the 30 day free trail.

Am I beiing blind
