Hi,

I bet thats him too! Too bad Maggie didn't sign the register, makes it much easier figuring out if you have the correct person if the spouse or a known child signs. I've been looking for a child born to them, but I don't see one.

Hi Deb,

I can't see them in the 1901 Canadian census. I'm starting on the 1911

I think that the death of GWN Blow is correct as he states he is a fireman on marraige cert.  :)

Looked for child with surname Blow for 1893/4  ...nothing ... Maggie and George were only married for 11 months .

will look further

Just a "maybe " as I don't have access to the paid databases...but didn't see a marriage, nor other information on a Catherine Bray
however did find an Elizabeth R Wallace married to a James A. Kennedy...
There is a death for: Elizabeth Robinson Kennedy,Jan 15 1918 born 1861 Hamilton
Parents: James Wallace and Cathrine Boag  http://search.labs.familysearch.org
~~~
There's a birth for a Catherine Boag on the IGI for Jan 6,1833,Abercorn, West Lothian, Scot.
parents WILLIAM BOAG and ELIZABETH ROBISON
and a marriage of a Catherine Boag to a James Wallace  Apr. 22, 1857 - Abercorn, West Lothian
Hi JJ
That's really interesting ...so does Catherine BOAG = Catherine BRAY?
The other records clearly state BRAY ...Elizabeth Robinson Kennedy nee Wallace is bc 1861 whereas Margaret Edmonston Blow/Goodson nee Wallace is b 1873...uite a gap between the 2 sisters ... wonder if James Wallace married 2 Catherines?
Hello All
Those are Maggie's parents - James Wallace abt 1830 West Lothian, Scotland and Catherine Boag abt 1833. There are 2 other children William b 1863 and James b 1868 (I only found them tonight in the 1881 Canadian census on Family Search)
Re William Boag and Elizabeth Robison, maybe she should be Robinson and that is where Elizabeth Robinson Wallace got her name from.
Are there census before 1881? Maybe there were other children but they died?
According to stuff I got from another family member, the 1857 marriage is definitely Maggie's parents.
Is there any trace of the brothers, James and William (as above) I am pretty sure that Maggie and Arthur went to Michigan right after they married, and that their 2 children were born there. I have little bit after Arthur's family went to Detroit. They (his father John Burkitt Goodson and family) landed in NY and then turned up in Windsor, farming. Even though John is later listed as an Engineer, he was a Farmer before leaving Lincolnshire, England.
Thank and regards
The marriage/birth for Catherine that I gave you would be pure spec...
There was also a James Wallace born to a John & Margaret ( Robinson) in 1831...
so you need more proof than that...and if they used naming patterns, to also fill in more of the children.
You may want to tell us what other information you have on the family before anyone does more searches for you...
