Death records

How does one find the death record of an ancestor when the year of death is unknown. I know the year of birth, spouse name and children names, but only know that the death occurred after 1915. I know the county in which she married and lived.

Does the relevant county have its own BMD site online with a search engine?

Failing that I suppose its 1837.com & trawl forwards from 1915...
