Frame work knitters in Perth
« on: Monday 16 February 09 12:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi!

My 4 x g grandfather was a FWK and moved from Leicestershire to Perth around 1800. I was wondering if there are any records of people who worked in the mills/factories around that time, so that I might be able to find out a bit more about what he was doing there and maybe why he moved so far away from an area full of FWKs.

He had returned with his children, Robert and Rachael, back to Leicester by 1841. His name was Thomas BROBSON.

Thank you in advance for any help given

TreeGirl :)
