Laurencekirk - Thomas W Milne
« on: Tuesday 17 February 09 02:40 GMT (UK) »
I would love to find out the names of parents, or any information on Thomas W Milne, B: 13 Feb 1825 in Laurencekirk, D: 1908, Fregus, Ontario, Canada, married to Mary Croll, B: 25 Apr 1824 in Fettercairn, Father William Croll, Mother Margaret Christie.

I'm also wondering how I can find out about clan information of several lines of my Scottish ancestry. For instance, I have heard that many Milnes were part of the Gordon clan. Would this be true for Milnes living in Laurencekirk?

Thanks for any information you might have!

I cannot answer your question about a possible Milne/ClanGordon connection but see boards.tiscali.ancestry.co.uk/surnames.milne for Blacks "Surnames of Scotland".
