Thankyou for the passenger list look-ups on this site. They have enabled me to bridge a gap in my family history.
I had been looking for clues to finding members of my family in New Zealand for a while. My grandfather talked of having relatives there. Then I found a 1939 obituary referring to 'a sister in New Zealand.' There were 8 sisters so I had to look for them all - not knowing if they married before or after sailing. But eventually I found the family I wanted - and two sisters.
They travelled to Aukland on the Lauderdate arriving 30 Jan 1874.
The family consisted of
Walter Frankham age 33
Elizabeth Frankham age 33
Albert Frankham age 9
Amy Frankham age 7
Charles Frankham age 3
Edith Frankham age 6
Walter James Frankham age 11
Deborah Bishop age 23 (Elizabeth's sister)
I am keen to find out what happened to this family in New Zealand - especially Elizabeth and Deborah.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the family or any advice on how I should proceed next.
Thank you for any help
Liz
