Hi Paulene
Hope you are keeping OK. :)

Thought it was time to give you an update on my family tree.

You gave me this site to look at earlier of beeston.

  www.rootschat.com/links/05op

Good news, my family tree connects to the Hollingworth tree and his first name on this tree is Thomas who is my great grandfather.

This tree has 343 individual names and 86 unique surnames, with this many names I'm still logging them into my tree.

Anyone following this thread, these are the main names in this family tree.
14 Hollingworth
150 Hudstons
20 Smedleys
26 Dennis

Although I have been busy with the above information I haven't found a Marriage for Noah Glenn yet.

I would like to thank you again for your help with my family tree.

Take care. :)
stringbean.
Names I am researching
Sleight, Hollingsworth, Smith, Marshall, Lowery, Hudston, Smedley, Keal, Avery, Glenn,
Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire.

Mrs Stringbean - what a lovely surprise :)
Just got my emails and I'm so pleased that the work we did together bore fruit - you've certainly lots to tell you mum!
I hope she is ok.
I thought it seemed to lead by to Attenborough - you must go and have a look one day. The church is close to the nature reserve, which will be lovely in the summer months.
I've got quite a bit to do at home at the moment, and my sister has just been to stay; so I haven't been on rootschat much recently, but if you do need me I will always pick up your messages and try to help, Stringbean.
I also hope that you've manged to get in contact with some living relatives - I do know that is important to your mum.
If I can find anything on Noel I will let you know.
If you can't visit Attenborough church someone on rootschat might be able to look for the graves for you, or you could look at this site I was told about the other day:
http://www.raogk.org/
They helped my friend out, and sent him some photographs of family graves.
However, if you can visit Attenborough and Chilwell yourself I'm sure it will be worthwhile - quite special being in the place your ancestors were born, married, etc.
As I said it is LOVELY to hear from you - please keep in touch.
Bless you xxx
Paulene :)

This is entirely non-definitive, but I believe there used to be a George Sleight in Woodhall Spa in the 1950s/60s.  My memory may be deceiving me, but I have a feeling that either (or both) a fruit and vegetable business and taxi business were involved - best I can do, and not neary as detailed as some others, but you may want to check the Horncastle & Woodhall Spa News archives for those years.

Hello Lydiaann
Thank you for your information.

This may help as we don't have alot of information on George Sleight and every input can lead to more information. Being a Sleight he could still be family some where along the line.

Thank you

Hi there Genuisscuffy

Thank you for your responce to my thread.

Do you have any details of the father William Hollingworth, his wife name or his DOB.

Our Hollingsworth & Hollingworth family come from Bourne, Beeston, Chilwell, Colsterworth, Grantham, and Attenborough, all roughly in the same area I believe.

Does you have any of these names connected around your Hollingworth/Hollingsworth. Glenn, Moore, Avery, Hallam, Hudston, Smedley, Winfield, Sleight or Slight.

Hope this information helps. I do have an Elizabeth but that is all just the name at the moment.

Thank you.

Stringbean  :)

Hi, yes found out today thanks to Laurina that Elizabeths Father was William Hollingworth and mother Ann.  She was born in Colsterworth and married a Thomas Musson.  On the 1851 census he was 54 born Grantham and Ann 55 b. Woolsthorpe.  They had 4 children - Ann 15, William 5, Elizabeth 10 and Henry 4 All born county?
