Hi Larry

All the Cheshire census registration districts have beeb published for 1851 and 1841, the 51 has a complete name index (CFHS) but only a couple of the 41 areas are indexed, Birkenhead/Tranmere and Stockport.

Thanks Peter for the info on the "41 @ 51 Bhead census. Is the info on LDS films or in the Cheshire County library for look ups?
Appreciate your continued interest in helping me. Like to resolve
this brick wall I have.

Hi Larry
All the census's would be available via the LDS,but I am not sure whether they have the name index or not, I do know for certain that the Cheshire records office at Chester have copies of every thing, but local libraries in general only cover their own areas.

hope this helps
