I've been sifting through all this Smith and Booth information as I appear to be a descendant. SO far I have Naphtoli Smith ((1815) (Leicestershire) m Byra-Minta Smith ((1820) Waltham Leicestershire. Offspring...Naphtoli Smith, ((1847) Skillington, Lincs. Samuel Smith ((1855) Harston Leicestershire), Elizabeth, ((1857) Garton, Leicestershire), Fanny ((1860) Eaton, Leicestershire, Adelizer, ((1864) Melton Mowbrey....Naphtoli (1847) m Amerdine? (1854) they had...Laura, (1872) John, (1873), Nathaniel (1875) Amerdine (1877) and Rose (1880) all from Melton Mowbray.... Adelizer (1864) m Nathaniel Booth (1864) from Croft Leicestershire. His parents were Henry Booth (1830 (Old Dolby, Leicestershire, m Emma ? (1838) Their Offspring were Siberina, ((1856) Teigh, Rutland), Beautra, 1859 etc etc... Siberina who is my GG Grandmother married Enoch Smith (1850) Nassingham) who's parents were Robert and Rhoda Smth (1806 and 1805 respective Robert was described on his daughter Cinderella's birth certificate as a travelling gypsy, basket maker and gypsy fiddler, living in a lane very near Oakham.    Now I hope you're keeping up!!! I think that the Smiths and the Booths are closely connected to your Smiths,,,, Does my info tie into yours? is it any help to you? is there anything you have that may connect to me? Oh I'm tired now!!

LOL You are definitely one of us! Siberini would be my 2nd cousin 4 times removed I think. which means she would also be Babygirls' 2nd cousin 4 times removed

You have filled a gap for me... I didn't know Siberini and Enoch were linked.

Thanks Cheryl

Hi secnarf

I agree with Cheryl, all the information matches what I have; like Cheryl though, I didn't know about the connection between Siberini and Enoch so thank you for providing yet another link between the Smiths and Booths.

Hi everyone, I accidentally found Genes Reunited and the first name that appeared was William Drewery.
William and Reservoir Drewery were my great great grandparents.
Reservoir died 9.11.1859 [I have just noticed it will 150 years tomorrow]
She died of 'Inflammation of kidneys'
Jane Bilson, a 14 year old girl was with her at time of death!  Her address was Timber Hill, Melton Mowbray if that means anything to anybody.
They had the following children:-
Robert  b. 1841   Wymondham
Thomas Wrangland   b. 10.9.1843   Stonesby Lincs
Selina    b. 1846    Woodsthorpe  [My great grandmother]
Reservoir    b. 18.1.1851   Greetham, Rutland
Amelia    b.1854     Branston, Leics
Willaim  b. Mar 1856   Lanighan, Oakham, Rutland
Hezekiah      b.10.10.1858     Melton Mowbray.
Selina always classed herself as a herbalist on every census - has anyone any comments to make about this.
It was interesting to see that they had actually got married and there may be hope of finding details of their families as well.
Here's hoping.

Hi everyone, I know its been a while since these posts but I have only just spotted all these posts and it links in with a friends tree I have been looking at. She is linked to the Booth/Smith travellers through her mum, and its been a nightmare trying to untangle them all I can tell you!!

A couple of interesting sites to look at;

and

Many thanks for your continued interest in William and Reservoir.    I am eagerly, and impatiently waiting for their marriage certificate due any day now.   I hope it will be readable when it does arrive!!   I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas!!!   Nieve.

Hi everyone, well the marriage cert. arrived and it was a big anticlimax!   It read as follows :-
The Parish Church in the Parish of Wymondham 5th July 1841.
William Drewry - of full age - Bachelor - Gypsy - Residing in Wymondham.   A line through Father's name and Rank or Profession.
Reservoir Smith - minn. - Spinster - a line through rank or profession - residing in Wymondham.   A line through Father's name and Rank or Profession.
They were married by Banns by Richd Cragg - Rector
They both made their marks in the presence of Ann and Mary Jackson.
In other words it didn't tell us anything new, but I have a little query.
What was the 'full age' for marriage in 1841?  Was it 16,18 or 21.   If Will. was born in 1826 he would only have been15/16!.
In the 1861 Census called Drury he was 35
           1871  he was 47
1881  he was 56 and when he died in 1887 he was 63
This brings his birth year down to 1824/5.   I know this sound a bit picky and perhaps they didn't even know themselves   He was always consisten in his birthplace - Boston.
But then his daughter Selina always said she was born in Melton but she wasn't.
Back to the drawing board and perhaps I am not meant to know.
I await any further comments.    Nieve.

Full age was 21 until 1969.

Perhaps he wasn't the one whose baptism you have - I guess you'll never really know :(
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
